TEACHERS & HEALERS TEAM

A diverse and experienced team of teachers, therapists and healers will contribute knowledge, love and soul to your Program. We are blessed in Koh Phangan with eclectic and holistic practitioners choosing the island as a base.

Therapies and healing modalities vary from various types of Yoga to breathwork, tension and trauma releasing, craniosacral massage, reiki, sound healing, rebirthing, coaching  and nutritional therapy, all the way to hypnotherapy, tantra and shamanism.

In Naturopathy we are trained to look at an individual as a complex whole. Prolonged physical symptoms are usually the result of something deeper that can carry ramifications across the body. They are affected by the psychology of the individual too. In this context, disease is a manifestation of something more substantial, the tip of the iceberg.

Here are the Six Principles of Naturopathy, to which we fully subscribe to:

  • The Healing Power of Nature – the organism has a tremendous capacity to heal itself when you provide the right environment and conditions for that to happen.
  • First, Do No Harm – methods and natural substances which minimize the risk of harmful side effects should be used as much as possible.
  • Identify and Address the Cause – environmental and lifestyle triggers and mediators should be considered a key component of the problem. Look beyond the symptoms to the underlying imbalance.
  • Practitioner as Teacher – learn and be empowered to listen to, and to look after your body, to make sense of your feelings and take charge of your own wellbeing.
  • Focus on the Whole Person – look at yourself from an higher, general perspective first. The physical, genetic, mental, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental spheres make what we are and affect our health.
  • Focus on Prevention – better not to get sick in the first place, right?

An unhealthy lifestyle, constant negative emotions and lack of support, personal growth or meaning, nutritional issues, not enough physical movement, and many other factors contribute to misalignment across whole body systems.

Rebalancing and helping the body build its own strenght and resilience is what we aim to do.

A holistic approach isn’t at odds with applying medical research or western medicine. In an integrative context, Naturopathy and alternative methods can be employed alongside conventional medicine. Please refer to a medical doctor with any questions you might have regarding a medical condition.

“Integrative medicine neither rejects conventional medicine nor accepts alternative therapies uncritically”
